I rode today on my town's boulevard and have come to the conclusion that my town sucks. I rode to the gym, only about 1/3 mile on the boulevard, 3 lanes eachway. This was during rush hour as well. I have to merge onto the bouevard then after about 2 intersections go through 3 lanes to make a left turn. Well I was approaching the intersection where i need to make a left hand turn (2 lanes to turn left) so i start to move over. I move to the far left lane and am about 100 ft from where the turn lanes start. The dumb idiot behine me starts hocking his freaking horn at me. Then on the way home I was riding in the far left lane for about 250 ft. waiting for the turn lane and I get honked at twice. I hate my town.

I want to go back and ride in downtown Sacramento, so much funner :(

Just thought I would express my bitterness towards my lame town. Stupid Mercedes drivers

EDH is good for geared or mtn bikes. though i'd think that drivers would be smarter around bikes just due to the number of them going to/from the bike trail, etc. i just want them to make more roads that cross the county line.

come to sac. there are growing numbers of cool riders and shops.

Oh my yes. I live just north of the freeway, the community next to the freeway, and I wasnt for them so badly to connect Saratoga (that dead end right next to the freeway) to that new community in Folsom. Now to get to Folsom i have to go through Crown Village/Empire Ranch. Kind of bites especialliy on a SS with all the hills :)

I live in SUV land ... It keeps my nerves trim and my muscles sharp, and my hate for selfish middle age suburbanites sharp like you won't believe.

Move to SF. Live in Golden Gate Park. Hustle/panhandle for a living. That's not to hard.

Better yet, get a degree, change the world, and give a big middle finger to the delusional cynics that run things now. That's good advice.

Matt, how's that Haro Escape? I have an old Haro that's about your age and I love it.

As for the cagers, now you know how not to be when you grow up and get a license.

I love my Haro, but I feel bad for it. It's been sitting in my rack, haven't touched it since I started building my fixie :(

Usually on weekend nights. The next 2 weekends are bad for me due to holidays and being busy but we are due for another ride here quick. PM me you contact info and I'll drop you a line next time we meet up. Seems to be more and more fixies in town lately.
