I was browsing some bike porn this evening when I came across this:

"Nice bike. Nice bars," I thought to myself. As you can see in the shot, they appear to be Mavics. When I did a quick web search, however (I couldn't recall seeing them online), I couldn't find the damn things anywhere. Even doing a straight Google image search for "Mavic" didn't turn up a single set of pursuit bars. I'm at a loss - are these things not sold to the general public at all or am I just ********?
School this fool, please.

Whoah, look at that stem. Is that a common type of setup on the super-aero bikes? Looks like it might be flexy.

Aeroplane, it's the crazy Look frame that retails for $10k (not like anyone would ever buy it retail - the only way you're riding that bike is grand larceny or a sponsorship).

Look carbon track frames have this setup since very beginning. It allows to dial the reach and the drop very precisely and is not flexy at all.

Note the clips and straps - there is a reason for this... ;)

ive seen a good amount of the mavic bars on ebay within the last 2 years, but if you looking for anything less than 42 cm, it can get pretty hairy. i saw a 39 cm set last dec, but that was the first and last ive seen in that size.
...same goes with the 3TTT moscow bars....those bars are way killer

Those bars, at least the Mavics, are typically used as track bars, so finding them in the narrower sizes actually shouldn't be that hard...
