oh boy a bag thread!!!!!! just a quick question i traded some guy some shirts for a brand new Manhattan Portage bag it pretty cool but there is no stabilizer strap. what the crap? they brag that there the original messanger bag but they dont have a stabilizer strap why? anyone got any info?

heh -- maybe that's why it got traded for a bunch of t-shirts.
seriously, though, i'm pretty sure the ones i have seen have had cross straps.

The one I had in the early 90s did not have a stabilizer strap. You've just got to pack really well;)
im using one now for messin, and the lack of strap ruins my day, every day.
took a sharp turn today, and ended up with a bag full o' package on my stomach.
time to stop by reload...

fixed.. just some sewing and i had to cannibalize my crumpler, but it works great.

I got one and I just shift it around and keep it tight and high up on my back.
