hi im posting this for my friend and i......ok.....dans comp has a parts deal called the pro parts package and it comes with chromoly forks/bars and cranks and supra j rims with a cassette.....i was gonna get that and then a kink freebird or my second choice along with my friend kyle was to get the s&m dirt bike pro....witch one is better for 200 pound park and trail riders with light street....n im iffy on the s&m because of the dropouts because ive heard rumors of them pinching and the dirt bike being more for a light rider...witch one is better?

Dans Comp Parts packages=many poverty parts
Poverty Parts=Bad....(the only good things that they make are...Freecoasters, (those grips on the Buck 99) and i personally like there bars...and maybe their cranks...but everything else is trash.
but as for the frames...ALL of those are really nice...and id like to see your freind even TRY to bend the S&M DirtBike Classics dropouts...there strong...and as with all S&M frames...it has a warranty...
but...i would personally go with the Freebird...just becuase its lighter and more up to date...as the S&M Dirtbike is more a old style no fancy smashy stuff...frame...

yeah thanks....i checked out the freebird more so im prolly gonna get that and the parts package but trade the forks, stem,bars, and a 36h jalco dub rim and get a S&M pitch fork, Slam bars, and redneck lite stem! so i thnk thats a good deal....[im gettin it from a kid down the road whos friend stopped ridin n gave him all of these parts!! the forks and bars/ stem r barely used!!!!**.........so i think thats n awesome trade and the freebird is like a pound lighter than the dirtbike

check out my mad geometry skills (although i dont necesarily agree with Kinetik)
Dans comp parts packages = many poverty parts
poverty parts = bad
therefore we can conclude....
Danscomp parts packages = bad
hell yea for the transitive property

You guys are going back and forth with this stupid crap, and you don't even know how lucky you are. No Danscomp over here, and I've got no one to get parts from, other than ordering them myself. And the weather went from about 90 degrees to hailing yesterday. No dirt jumping in the mud.
ok?
...expat is weird.
i dont snow. i dont like rain. i find it all to be a pain.

Its bad if you can afford better. If you are just starting out and getting a 1st bike put together and you are on a super tight budget then its fine. Have you looked at the completes at dans, if your short on money those 2005 sale completes might be a better bargain. I bought a crappy entry bike and slowly upgraded it, tires first and frame last.

what the hell is it with you and the transit property...???
god damn your geometry teacher.
*transitive property for dummies
a = b=c thefore a=c
or for the really big dummies
a=b
b=c
thefore:
a=c

transitive property is for numbers... when you're talking ideas it's a syllogism... put that in your transitive pipe and smoke it... hehe

This is correct.
All cats are mammals.
No mammals have blood composed of a 65/35 mixture of margarine and apple sauce.

Therefore, no cats have blood composed of a 65/35 mixture of margarine and apple sauce.

Isuck@bmx, are there any bike shops in albuquerque that sell DK bmx bikes? Like the signal maybe..
KinetikBiker
11-16-05, 04:54 PM
the Dk Signal is a flatland...and maybe tech street frame.....do you know that...
MadMan2k

Yes.
I want a flatland bike... this 24" cruiser I have now doesn't really let me do flatland, lol

Sorry, bike shops in Albuquerque aren't so good.. they focus more on mountain bikes and road bikes and might have a couple bmx bikes in a corner somewhere... I haven't seen one yet that sells DK's... I've only seen hoffmans, fits, and way too many diamondbacks... your best bet is probably just ordering from danscomp

Heh, better than here. All the shops here have is Diamondback, Haro, Specialized and GT :/

Haro makes a nice flat bike...
be happy with the shops you guys have.
are closest shop sells only haros and treks
the next closest if about 45 minutes away
and the only other one is a mobile shop which always seemed really sketch to me
Once again, I'll remind you guys that down under, we have no Danscomp, and no Albes. My LBS has Haro and GT. Another has Norco and GT. There's model train shop that sells GT, and another bike shop that sells Felt and Trek. I wouldn't even know where to get any of the smaller names.
