In another thread GOODCATJACK commented abut he liked the way the word BONK feels.

My personal favorite is WAFFLE!.....saying waffle three times fast is a real treat for the mouth and it makes me smile.

Do any of you have mouth loving words?
And to please all you mountin' bikers out there I will already submit the words WOMAN, PIZZA and BEER.

BOOM! (for something good, exciting, etc.)

"Ah, Spinozza!" (When mixed company forbids using an unfortunate expletive)

*SPOIK!* (Good poking sound -- not for use in all situations, however)

Burner

It's that rapid pedal cadence you maintain at 24+ MPH for at least .75 miles and hold it for 30 more reps than body wants you too!

Thats a burner!!!

Swoosh!

(That's the sound of tubular tyres rolling on asphalt.)

Ping!

(That's the sound of a well-tensioned spoke, when plucked.)

I like saying 'bunk' in reference to things that are no good.

Guillermo

Wanker.
Its my newest favourite invictive.
For mixed company I really like the way
campagnolo sounds as well as Cinelli.

Funicular -- I love the way it sounds and looks... but I have trouble fitting it into conversations.

Stradivarius -- It sounds like what it is.

Depanneur -- French for a convenience store.

Derailleur -- sounds best pronounce a la Francaise [de-rye-yure]

ewwwww

A buffy-esque exclaimation of disgust that you would say if , for instance, you were removing your tyre and found out that you had just cycled through a dog poop.

Tebbit.

My sister told me this one a few years back. Norman Tebbit was apparently a Tory MP who was a bit of a joke by all accounts. In a satirical word game, a panel was asked to define a Tebbit.

The winning reply was that piece of dog sh1t that gets wedged in the instep of your shoe.:D

Since then, whenever I stod on or rode ove dog-sh1t, it has always been a Tebbit.

I read an article about the late, great Walter Matheau (sp) loved to say the name NONECK O'BRIEN and in his mouth it would have to sound very funny.

For some reason this thread reminds me of the "Phil and Paul Bingo" commercial that was aired during the Vuelta. Yo-sheeba Belloky.

I love things that are "tickety-boo"

I also do get a lot of satisfaction from a well timed swear word.

Squidgy ... It refers to the traction characteristics of hardpack snow under cyclocross tires. If you've ever done it, you'd know what you mean.

My old buddy Rob Kermode's mom used to bake these treats called grottlumps... and these other things called stodge cakes...

Good words those...
