General Cycling Discussion - See you in a couple of weeks!

I'm heading off this morning for a couple of weeks of cycling.

My job is to organise and run fund raising rides so for the next week I'll be riding with around 20 teenagers and a handful of leaders.

I get to have Sunday off and then head out again next Monday with around a dozen adults for another week of cycling.

Keep riding and I'll catch you when I can.

We'll try to keep the place from getting too boring due to the absence of of your posts. ;) Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

It's my one day off before heading away on my second ride.

The first ride went very well. I could have done with more sleep. Teenagers don't seem to need any sleep at all.

The weather was perfect until the last day which was our only day off road. We cycled about 60 km on a gravel track. Or should I say mud track? It was fantastic. We all ended up completely caked in mud. All those teenagers with mountain bikes that never go off road finally found out what those fat tyres are all about.

The ride that starts tomorrow will be on road bikes so I have to clean down my MTB and swap it over for my road machine.

I guess when you get back, you'll have plenty to say.

For a while, I'm sure you'll be doing more riding than posting.
