Hey all,
Just signed up for this forum, and just moved to DC by way of Baltimore (college-Johns Hopkins). I wasn't really into cycling at school, but I had done a bit of Mtn biking and a little road touring in HS. This summer though one of my friends came up to me and asked if I wanted to be part of a supported group that was riding from Baltimore to San Francisco to raise money for the American Cancer society. I thought what the hell, why not. Turned out to be the best decision I ever made. Took us two months to get across the country; 50 days of cycling and 8 rest days to cover around 3700 miles. Check out our website www.Hopkins4k.org Now I am pretty much hooked and try to get out as much as possible, and I am impressed with the accessability of quality road here in DC. Unfortunately not too many mountains to climb... oh well.
