Winter Cycling - What's the fattet slick tyre (tire) my Bianchi Gold Race 600 will take?

It has 23mm's on at the moment, but there seems to be a bit of room for bigger.

If you have short reach side-pulls then you are probably limited to 28mm without fenders and 23-25mm with. You may be able to fit a little larger than that but your tolerances will get tight. Long reach brakes will give you more clearance and if you have cantis or V-brakes then your frame will dictate the limit.

Not sure what type they are, long or short, but 28mm sounds decent. Never use those skinny fenders, use large ones not against the wheel.
