Bicycle Mechanics - Clicking somewhere in crank-pedal-bb area

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
For a couple of weeks I have been getting an irregular, but fairly constant clicking in the crank-pedal-bottom bracket area. Sometimes it's louder than other times and when it's loud I can feel it mostly from the right pedal. Here are the things I have checked:
Cables and both derailleurs seem to be adjusted well.
Chain rings are tight.
Cranks are tight and in good condition.
Bottom bracket is still tight.
There does not seem to be any changes in the pedals (both sets of Look pedals I have seem to have a little bit of wobble--is that normal).
Cleats are tight.
Soles of my shoes are in good condition.
Any idea what is causing the clicking?
Thanks

What do you mean: "both sets of Look pedals I have seem to have a little bit of wobble"?
Are your pedals screwed tight to the crank arm?

Try the pedal thing, that seems odd to me. If that fails and you're just talking about float in the cleat/pedal interface, try re-greasing the BB and tighten it fully.
Well, the pedals are irrelevant. I was able to hear the sound when I held the bike and back-pedaled by hand. The sound is coming from the bottom bracket. I guess I'll ride it until the sound becomes unbearable then I'll install a new bb. It's Campy Centaur. No more than 7,500 miles on it. Very disappointing.

Sounds like a bearing gone west.
Same thing happened to me this week after only 1000kms on my Truvativ Roleur.
I'd get it down to the LBS pronto before it lets you down miles from home.

Might want to try removing your crank arms and checking them closely where they fit on the spindle. Had a good friend ten yrs ago that actually cracked a Dura Ace arm in the corner of the spindle opening. He thought he had BB problems for about 10 days before he actually looked at the arm and noticed the crack.
