I'm debating on getting a closeout deal on a 2002 or waiting untill the 2003's are available.
The model I'm interested in is a Cannondale Gemini 2000. Frames are the same, forks are the same('03 comes with integraged fender), most everything is the same except the following:
Differences:
Frame Color on 2002 is Red w/Silver and Black: on 2003 it's the Team Replica or Camoflague. I prefer the Red.
Rear Shock on 2002: Fox Vanilla RC; on 2003 Romic Double
Wheels '02: D321 laced to DT hubs ; on '02 Mavic Dee Max Wheelset
Handlebar '02 Easton Scandium DH; '03 Funn Full On
Headset '02 WTB Momentum C; on '03 Cane Creek Double XC
Seatpost '02 Thomson Elite; '03 Coda Competition
Difference in price is only around $220 USD. Is the '03 worth the extra money? I just don't know if I should get the '03 with the better shock, and wheels and wait another month. Or, get the '02 in Red (which I really like) and sacrifice the better components?
Any suggestions?
