yeah, why is it that everytime i fall i need to get new bar tape, so far my new bar tape has lasted through 2 falls (one involved a car and moderate speeds) but if i fall again, my bars are gonna get scratched up.

Mine involved low speeds and no one around. If I fall and nobody is around to see/hear it did I really fall?

"jonesbikes" on eBay usually has the cinelli stuff in a lot of colors/patterns/etc for $6.

17 bucks down the drain. That's why I gave up and use bicycle tubes instead.

You use bicycle tubes? I didn't notice that on your bars. I am using tubes next time I wrap the bars. Now I just need to flat. I can't wait...

haha - indeed.

yeah, it's super ghetto. gets your hands all black - not really a concern in the winter though.

I saw this Cinelli (http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Mike-Shorts-Bike-Photos/CinelliSC1) in person last weekend. Yes, that's leather bar tape that's sewn tight to the bars.

comfy, cheap, classy - pick two.

I tend to break my beak everytime i fall off my bike. But the bar tape just ends up bloody.

I was riding home from the bar a couple days ago (maybe a little tipsy), got ran off the road by some idiot, and wiped out into a planter. My bar tape ripped plus a stick got jammed into my front wheel, knocking it a little outta true. Guess thems the breaks.
