Good Afternoon From Flat Florida!…
I wanted to introduce myself to all of you at the forum…
I am a cyclist down here in Daytona Beach, Fl.
I have been riding for a while but only really got serious over the past year. I WAS riding a Sears Spaulding Mountain Bike forever until I decided I just couldn’t get it any faster. That’s when I decided to buy a new Trek 7500 in May’02. It is an awesome bike and it has waken me up to the whole racing concept! I started riding with a group only 2 months ago, and I have gotten progressively better each week. Now I am able to hang with most of the pack when I am in the draft.
Try to pull, forget it! Get off the end, forget it!
The owner at the bike shop calls this bike the angry hybrid, and it is! I think most of the group (about 15 riders or so) are impressed that i can hang for as long as I can. But now it has given me the fever to get faster and definitely more aerodynamic. If I didn’t buy this bike only 4 months ago, I wouldn’t even hesitate, but I am cheap, so I am planning on being as angry as my bike and try to max it out…..
I am really excited about the sport and looking forward to learning as much as I can everyday…. Look forward to any advice you might have….
