And I was hoping to swap for wild women...
FOR SWAP: 57cm ctc '71 Motobecane Le Champion frameset with Stronglight headset. Reynolds 531 DB tubeset. Was top of the line Moto frame of the day, but this one's too tall for me. Swap for another similar Moto frameset around 53-54 cm ctc.? Team Champ, Le Champ, Grand Record or Grand Jubilee considered.... Other quality frames from the mid '80s and older considered too.... Watcha got? PM me if interested (wild women too;)...
Got 2pair of really nice tubular rims I'd like to offer. Gold Fiamme 36h rims and Mavic Monthlery Pro 32h rims - the Monthlerys look like MA2s but are tubular - both pairs are in very good shape. Also a pair of excellent condition Campy Record low-flange 28h hubs for trade.
I have a late '80s Schwinn road bike I'd like to convert to 650b rims so I'm in the market for rims, spokes and tires for this project. But I'm interested in considering anything bike-related!

I have a Raleigh Competition (Carlton) with 700c wheels and Suntour Superbe brakes. Size is about 57cm/23". Rigida rims laced to Campy Record high-flange hubs. Campy deraillers. I'd be happy to trade for something similar (i.e. vintage lightweight, Reynolds 531 tubing) in a 54cm/21" size.

Darn, Koffee, I don't have a lot of bike parts to trade for bike parts but I was going to offer rebuilding of vintage vacuum tube radios to trade for bike parts, but I guess I can't do that can I? Is that really a picture of you?
For Trade -
Shimano 600EX brakes. 'Short' reach (39-49), recessed mounting nuts. Complete, greatshape.
Want in exchange - Shimano 600EX, Grand Compe or simular standard reach brakes. Need a max reach of at least 55-59. recessed mounting preferred.

Hey; feral, but groomed could be fun.... Does she go? Say no more; know what I mean? Wink wink, nudge nudge...
I have a 120mm Cannondale CODA stem about a -7/-10deg 1" threaded, polished aluminum, removable faceplate, light and clean. Originally it was about $60 but I'm not using it so I just as soon see someone get some use out of it. Its a good update for a vintage bike that makes it a bit more modern while retaining a classic look. Used it for a season but I'm threadless now. Let me know if you want it, and if you have anything to offer. I'm not looking for much!
I am looking for a Raleigh-threaded, cotterless BB.
Don't really have too much to trade, maybe a Raleigh GB stem and bars, cotterless cranks, Huret derailers, some suntour derailers and shifters.

I've got a full build kit taken off a 1967 Norstar( I've never heard of them either !) that I'm converting to a single speed. there is a set of Campy Valentino extra derailleurs and shifters, the brakes and levers are Bramilla, a 39cm alloy bar and an approx 50mm stem, no name steel cotter cranks and a set of unidentified 27" alloy wheels with a very nice 5 speed cluster, I saved all the relevant cable guides and housing ends. These parts are in the lower end of things but they are in good shape, the bike I took them off cleaned up very nicely with a bit of spit and polish and although I haven't done it yet I'm sure the parts will clean up nicely, the cog set, cranks and chain look very clean.
I'm looking for; a C-record front mech(clamp on)
a set of 1980's Campy brake pads
Med sized Campy or Cinelli toe clips and straps
talk to me,
'Rasher
Some stuff for trade:
PAT 84 SR Rear derailleur
PAT 80 NR Rear derailleur
Campy NOS shield hoods
Campy Silca pump head, with old, worn out white feet
Super Champion Gentleman rims laced to Campy Tipo hubs (pat. 80)
There's more I'm missing -- I'll add later. Pictures of any part are available.
What I'm looking for:
Mavic 840 Rear derailleur.

I have a bunch of ca. 1980 'arabesque' shimano 600 stuff that I'd like to trade or something.
Shimano 600 clamp-on downtube shifters
Shimano 600 brake levers, no hoods, a little road rashed
Shimano 600 r. derailleur
I dunno what I really need, PM me with an offer or something.
I always need selle italia turbo saddles, or perhaps a flite.

I've got a pair of 1998 - 1990-ish Shimano Aero single-pivot brake calipers; they're not marked with model name - the German site simply identifies them as "L Aero". 47-57mm reach; recessed mounting. I'd be interested in trading for similar short-reach brakes.
I'm also looking to complete a Suntour Superbe group; still need brakes and levers and (possibly) crankset. The earlier the better. I've got a lot of stuff to potentially trade, so if you've got the Superbe stuff and are looking for anything in particular, drop a PM with your wants.
Thanks!

I believe I'm in need of a french threaded bottom bracket for my UO-8. Preferably one narrower than what's provided stock? I have some random road bars, and some weinmann calipers I could trade? Maybe some other stuff. PM me!
I've got:
One NOS White Perforated Regal
One NOS White Perforated Turbo
Almost New Lake Cx101 Shoes size 45
Will trade for:
Older, in good shape, Campy Crankset 172.5, 80s or 90s, C-Record, Chorus, Athena, Daytona, N.Record or S.Record, Ofmega, Stronglight, Sugino or other.

OK - I need cheap 27" road tires to get my fleet moving and out the door. I missed the last big Nashbar $2.00 sale....
Mods - you can delete this one, the tires have been acquired.
As a heads-up for anyone else looking for cheap and decent 27" tires, I wandered into a Performance yesterday and they have thier housebrand Forte GTII in 27x1-1/8 and 27x1-1/4 for something like $5.72 each. With my Team Performance discount, they came to $5.02 each.
These are not gumwall - they are all black. I mounted a pair tonight on a set of older Araya rims. They went on with a bit of a struggle, but look good and should ride nice.

Free to good (or bad) home, Scott aero bar from the early 90's. Had this on my Premis, and I hated it. You might, too, but it's free. I'll post a pic tomorrow to show the ugly neon-colored "SCOTT" sticker on the side. Comes with the armrests and attaching hardware.
Bars are gone to a new home. Isn't this forum wonderful?! :)

"Which Gitane model had the cool-funky rear dropouts that may be Huret (or Simplex?), and remind me of a snowflake?"
Huret spiderwebs. Seen them on interclubs, and I have a TDF with them on it. Very cool looking.

Okay, so they weren't model specific then? Were they a model year thing? Which year? Wouldn't mind a clean TDF with those...

This is just a trial balloon, because I can only deal locally, it's a busy time of year for everyone, and who knows if anyone is interested, but...
I need the bits to build up my nice '70s Raleigh Sport frame. It's bare, no cups even. If I could get a parts bike with a damaged frame it would be ideal.
I've got a not-perfect, not-too-desireable '70s Peugeot to trade.
So, to sum up, I need a bike that can give me Raleigh-threaded headset, bottom bracket assembly, cranks, wheels and all the little things that make a bike. The donor can be a three speed from Raleigh, Robin Hood, Dunelt, Rudge, Phillips, or any of the other bikes made by Raleigh with 26 tpi threading. Men's or women's frame shouldn't matter. I'd love for it to have fenders and a chainguard, and for the rear hub to work. I'd REALLY love it if it came with an intact Brooks saddle of any model, but that may be a bit much to ask.
What I have to trade is a nice looking blue Peugeot 10 speed. Paint is overall in good shape, with minor chips and scratches.
It almost certainly will need TLC. And a rider not much taller than my 5'7".
It has stem shifters, Stronglight TS cranks, Simplex FD, brakes are Weinmann 610 front, Peugeot rear, and a Selle Royal GTS saddle. The rear dropout is marked Y801 24195. There is no chrome on the frame, only the bottom of the forks.
I can't package, ship or deliver. Sorry. I'd rather not travel. Also, in the spirit of trading, cash isn't an option.
I'm in Monmouth County N.J.
For this to be worth your while, you probably should be here too.

OK, here's an odd one....
I've got a 61cm Schwinn Premis frame/fork combo that I'm not going to use (she's-a too big for me). Columbus Tenax lugged steel, circa 1988. Straight sound frame. Here's the catch-it's currently in primer. I wil paint it whatever color(s) you'd like (paint will be Createx Auto Air Color, finished with PPG Quik Clear catalyzed clearcoat), even do some decals if you'd like. In return, you have to build the bike, ride it, and take a photo. I'll even ship to you, free of charge.
C'mon guys, I'm itchin' to do something with this frame, and would like to share it.
PM me to dicuss further.
UPDATE--Offer has been accepted---Glad I get to do something fun with this frame!

Well, I just listed it on eBay, but I'll stop the auction for a good trade...
For swap: 1970ish Swedish Crescent Professional. 58cm ctc, Reynolds 531 double butted throughout, NERVEX PRO lugs, Campagnolo drop-outs.
Check it out here: CRESCENT PRO (http://www.duane.kennard.com/crescent/)
I'll swap for similar quality vintage frameset in a 53-55 cm ctc size. Let me know what you've got... Don't forget the famous Crescent ad:
just a question about how people are conducting their trades? I'm thinking of trading, but I'm afaid someone will rip me off. are you guys using third party checks or something?
Whether cameras, guns, or bicycles, I've never been ripped off on a deal with another group member.
YMMV

Offering a pair of steel Schwinn drop bars that were on my Traveler. Not sure what these would be worth trading for, but if anyone is restoring an old schwinn and need them let me know. Chrome is in great shape, just a big of tape residue that would of course be hidden and/or clean up in no time.

I need Campy Record High-Flange rear hub at 126mm! Or the pair would be nice too. A complete 700c wheelset with those hubs and Super Champion, Fiamme or Weinman rims would be spectacular!
I also need long-reach Nuovo Record brakes with drilled Super Record calipers.
I would trade my beautiful 60cm Woodrup 531 black race frame for that stuff.
I also have a new in box 28.6 Campy Chorus front derailleur will trade for a vintage silver Silca/Campy pump.

That's a size I generally pass on. Although I think I have a Raleigh Gran Sport (mid-70s, 531, blue with white contrasts) in that size. Not that exciting, I know.
