Just wondering if anyone knows the max tire width (700) that can fit on a 2003 Burley Tosa road tandem?

Thank you!

I believe the rim is the Weinmann DPX

(Note: Weinmann of Belgium is gone and the name is now being used by Shenzhen of China)

If so, with an interior rim bead width of 13.4mm, 28mm would be the conventional reading of the tables on Sheldon Brown's web site: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire_sizing.html#width

Weinmann left Belgium for the US years back and, yes, I too was surprised to see the moniker was now the property of a Chinese manfucturing company:

Weinmann Metal Products (Shenzhen) Co Ltd
9, Shinyeh 1st Rd., Chinghwu Village, Longhwa Town
Baoan County , Shenzhen
N/A, CHINA

I'm just glad our Tosa didn't come with the DP-18's pictured up there--I'd be trying to figure out how to remove the "Ultimate Power" decals without hurting the finish :)

For future reference:

A heat gun used with care and medium heat will usually allow you to lift the decal & WD40 (or a less user friendly solvent) will remove the adhesive residue. You might also want to remove the rim strip as a precautionary step.
