Great price, just watch the carbon bar, it does have a tendency to break in certain situations, like when too much clamp pressure is applied. Oh, yeah, if you dont buy it soon, I will:D

Thanks for the replies. I just might buy it. I've always been skeptical about carbon, but the guys I talked to in Winter Park swear by them. They say they are actually stronger than aluminum. Ever seen one break? Just wondered if anyone had actually seen one break and the circumstances involved that caused it. Thanks

I have seen carbon break. It is almost always the users fault. People tend to torque to hard on the bolts. This causes little pinches which makes the bar a right off (applys to seatposts too). If you torque to specs and never go over you should be fine. :)

I wouldn't use them personally as I am a heavy weight and I freeride. For xc they are fine. :)

I wonder too if using specific stems like the double-articulating one in that set might make a difference. It would seem to harder to over-torque that type of stem.

Before I order it one more question. I notice it has only 3/4 inch rise. I currently have a Titec Hellbent with what I think is 1 1/2" rise. Do you think it will be drastically noticeable?

Easton's stuff is the only carbon I would buy. I've seen other manufacturer's stuff break, but have never witnessed an Easton.

They spend a lot on R&D and drop / load test every product they make. Really a superior product.
