Wow and he has a tan.. It is hot like that in San Fran?
S/F,
CEYA!
This last week San Francisco has had a record setting warm spell. While the air temperature has been something like 40 in the mornings, by the afternoon it's been hitting around 70.
Chris is a pretty small guy but not tiny. Though you have to remember that I'm 6'4" and nearly 200 lbs.
I've got a great deal of respect for Chris, I saw him screwed over pretty regularly by people who claim to be "the press" and he always was exceedingly polite. For instance, a couple of years ago at the San Francisco GP they asked him to come to the "press booth" which was an enclosed area where I was standing to watch the race. Chris showed up and everyone there completely ignored him. Then Lance came into the area and Chris was almost trampled on by everyone trying to interview Lance.
I wouldn't have blamed Chris if he got really pissed but he took it very calmly and I gave him a great deal of respect for being that self possessed.
To tell you the truth I think that Chris has achieved a deal more than he's been given credit for. I don't think that he has that superman capability so often touted as how he wins. I think that he trains intelligently and has a clear focus of what he needs to achieve in life. And he obviously has a strategic thinking ability that all real champions have despite being in oxygen debt and approaching bonk.
I really like Chris Horner and I'm pulling for him every second he's racing.

the weather has been increditable the last week, cold in the morning, but 70s by mid morning! I'm pretty sure Chris came to town with the tan line.

I think the weather in SF was significantly better then in Bend, Oregon where Chris is living. Currently it is cloudy and 29 degrees in Bend.
It was a great weekend for Oregon cross riders in the bay area!
