Anyone have information on the Vandedrome? I know it's an expandable short track that's portable, but not much beyond that.

Has anyone ridden this track, or attended an event held on it?

Anyone have pictures, a list of past events, or contact information for the owners?

Anyone know exactly how it was assembled, dismantled, or transported?

I'm working on my architecture thesis, designing a portable velodrome, and the Vandedrome would be a great resource.

The Vandedrome is owned by a cycling club in Massachusetts.

It is dope little thing. If you are doing your thesis on it I suggest you google vandedrome and find that obscure page about it. I also know that this has been discussed in this forum. I think in a thread about a velodrome in Boston.

I am kind of like your college librarian. I will guide you, but you must do the research.

Thanks for all the information so far, especially the links (thanks Ceya!)

I will definitely be in contact with Dale Hughes sometime in the next couple of months... and perhaps Ryder Architects in Australia as well (Corian track surface... brilliant).

Unfortunately the thesis isn't *just* about portable velodromes; the 'drome is just the design project. The bulk of my research is in the concept of 'place' and some phenomenology.

Thanks again for the help.
