i had to sell my track frame and fork in order to pay rent. So while i wait until i can afford a new frame, i was thinking of converting this to a fix. or should i make it a single speed so when i do get a track frame i won't have to change it again?

If you'd made the switch from PBR to Blatz, perhaps you'd still have your frame...

Get a wheel with a flip/flop hub and have both.

A single-speed on the road likely needs both front and rear brakes to be legal.
Leave them on.
