I hope I'm not breaking any rules about commercial items on sale but this is kind of fun... it's a bubble level that tells you how steep that last leg burner hill was. Mount it on the stoker's bar for some extra moaning action. And, since it's German, it must be accurate! Find it at Sky-Mounti Inclinometer.
Mate, you can even link to it if it's an item of interest. You just can't pitch your own stuff in the general forums. You'll need that red star to profit from Bike Forums, but it's always free to help out other members.
A little googling shows that this is a simple bubble level that indicates tilt. Here's a review:

At US$25 it seems a bit pricey for a bubble level to me, but the simplicity (no buttons, no batteries, no wires, no wireless...) is a bit refreshing, imho!

Or you could build your own

picked up a protractor at home depot for $8

I had a similar device in my Landcruiser. I called it the barf-o-meter. Ideally, you have one on the door, and one on the dash. I had one on the dash. Passengers never really appreciated seeing how far over the vehicle could lean. Long travel suspension with excellent articulation made for queasy co-pilots.

I'm lazy and usually wait until we get home to check out the altitude and percent grades from challenging rides.... It's all just a quick download to the laptop away.
This is pretty much the same model as the one I used. Never found out what the limits were, never wanted to. And passengers only asked once. Don't see too much need for it on a bike though.

Those graphs look very interesting. They give you the whole picture of the ride and not only a snap shot. What kind of cyclocomputer are you using?

My stoker is my 'steep-o-meter'.
If it is too steep, we get off and hoof it.
However she has only done that twice in over 30 years of tandeming.
