I'm taking delivery of the subject Helios SL very soon. From discussion with my friend who has the latest SL and the latest KHS folder with front derailuer and time trial bar with aero bar, I gather that the SL only advantage is its weight. It's too light at high speed and the riding position doesn't suit the high speed use like the KHS. Has any one adopt drop bars on his SL, and if so, does it improve high speed handling? Any other improvement reccommendation is much appreciated.

What do you mean by "too light at high speed"? Too light meaning...? High speed meaning...? And, when stating high speed, do you mean for long distance/high speed or short sprints? Thanks for replying to my thread. By saying "light at high speed", I mean being unstable. I've not ridden my friend's Helios SL 2005, but my friend said that it's because of the tall front post. I've seen picture of the Solo Single Speed Classic 2006 model with drop bar, and wonder if it can be retro-fit to 2005 model. I'm posting here because Dahon's site is crashing frequently.

when the Dahon TT bar becomes available ( I would think about March 06 ) tha it should be possible to change your current handlebar.

The SL is a pretty neat bike... sure its stable enuff to go pretty fast
