Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Retro-direct Drivetrain???

You do know it would be easier to use a 3-speed hub, right? If you look hard enough, I bet you could find a serviceable one at a thrift store.
Still, I guess that's kind of interesting.

One doesn't build a retrodirect bike for practical reasons. Only for fun, 'cos they'll never be be problem-free or effective. And I doubt you would go up those hills all that fast pedaling backwards. They sure look like fun, though.
