I've only done bike commuting 20 trips in the past 2 years (4 mi. + train in AM, 32 miles bike home PM). But I've been collecting my daily commuting statistics (884 trips) so I thought I'd share a couple gems:
Number of trips driving has taken longer than biking (124 minutes): 1 (out of 622 trips)
Number of trips taking SEPTA (commuter rail) has taken longer than biking: 9 (out of 182 trips)
Percent of trips by bike = 2.3% (20 / 884)
Other modes: (carpool = 7%, public transport = 21%, drive alone = 70%)
My goal for season #3 is to do 15+ bike trips instead of just 10.
