Hi - I normally post to the Folding and Fixed wheel forums but thought the good people in here might be of help?

Basically we're considering selling our car and I'm wondering if people have any experiences riding with a trailer on a small wheel bike. Or a fixed gear small wheel bike like my twenty that is my daily 8 mile commuter?. I guess I'm asking about whether ones that fit to a lower-than-usual 20" rear hanger run with the front too low. Should I be looking for one that attaches to the seatpost instead?

The idea is to use it on grocery trips and for maybe collecting wood on a nearby disused railway track. I understand there is some debate on the 1 or 2 wheel option (i think I'd go for two).

These babies (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bike-trailer-for-transport-and-freights-NEW_W0QQitemZ7197066947QQcategoryZ98932QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) going on eBay from Germany look like the sort of thing I'm after. (scroll down for some comical photos!) Thoughts Advice anyone?
Maybe I should get one that packs down flat?

Anyone?

That would work fine , but to get it more level just replace the 20" wheels with 16" or even 12" wheels off a childrens bike . That should lower it enough to make it level .:)

I suppose it also depends on the trailer you choose. BOB trailers are good with small-wheelers: I use a BOB Yak on a bike with a 20" rear wheel and it's nice and level. A friend uses the same BOB trailer on a Brompton with a 16" wheel and it works just dandy too.
