thinking about converting my Devinci Amsterdam to a full-on cyclocross bike as the frame is the same as Devinci's cyclocross series. before doing so, i want to know if there are ANY GOOD PLACES TO RIDE CYCLOCROSS IN LOS ANGELES, PARTICULARLY THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY?

LA cyclocrossers - where do you ride?

Ride up capri or Sullivan Ridge. How much clearance do you have for knobby tires? It is hard to tell from their website.

Santa monica mts, off Reseda or up into the houses off sunset (same place, dif entrance points). It's sooo fun to smoke the mtb'ers out there. All trails are ride able with a 39/23. Even the eaglerock trail backwards. I park on the sunset side and do the huge road climb to the trail head. Great cross place!

you need a map. there's miles and miles of fireroad and singletrack, accessible form both sides. i still want to ride the whole backbone trail in one push, 70 something miles. most local bike shops will have good topo maps.
