Looks like an old low tech idea applied to high tech materials. Aluminium lugs and carbon fibre tubes.

New? frames (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7199895974&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting)

The ad says "carbon surface frame" and for a 16" frame, it isn't very light (it's almost 3.8lbs).

I was just wondering if the carbon surface means it isn't carbon fiber tubes, just a stick on to make it look like carbon?

Hard to say, there isnt much info there. But if you look close you can see that its built just like they used to with lugged frames, if they were just going to give it the carbon look I dont think they'd go to that much trouble, but that could be my (high) expectations of people.

Done some searching and all the info I can find, 47 hits on google, is in polish or something like it. Dosen't look good, a high rep frame should generate more hits than that.

Yup, and I think they're also sold at costco too.

If you look at the carbon fibre, it is shaped strangely. I don't think I've seen any carbon fibre arranged in such a curved formation.

I'm 99% sure that carbon fibre surfacing means carbon fibre stickers.
