Mountain Biking - Seattle rides

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I found a few places to ride like on the mountain loop hwy (pass Granite falls) but would like to know some more places to ride. Next year I plan to buy a used Giant VT ONE so I a XC/all mountain type rider.
Anywhere within 2-3hrs of Seattle would be great.
Cheers...

check www.bbtc.org (Seattle) or www.stmcc.org (Tacoma), two local clubs that post group rides on their websites. I'm sure there are more, but those two come to mind. Get a guide book, there are at least three that cover the area fairly well, available at your friendly independent bookseller, etc.

I recomend the Tapeworm and Parasite in Renton. I tried it out when I was visiting in Seattle and it was a laugh riot. Also tried Capitol Forrest down by Olympia which was excellent.
