Mountain Biking - While I was out on a ride, I eyed this up.

The run in is going to be tricky since the building is right there blocking a direct approach.

The run in is going to be on a curve and will force me to hit the lip at the correct angle, too far to the left and I'll clip the ledge and tumble down the steps. Too far to the right and I'll either plow into that fence or get my treehugger impersonation on(crash into the tree.) Going to build a small kicker to help with the aim and possibly a landing ramp since the ground where the landing is close to flat. Will be hitting this hopefully Thursday at the earliest.

yea there is cabin on my trails too. a tree is leaning on it right now, il try and get a pic. they use it to hold maintenace shtuff.

Hell, you can just hop on to the wall, track stand, then hop off or a quick pedal stroke and wheelie off. Or if you want it a bit easier just put a piece of 4x8 on top and use it to line up your approach.

i don't see what you're talking about in those pictures...i see a cabin with a wall that you could drop off of, and then i see a bunch of trees, but definitely do not see a lip...

obviously you don't know the joys of "Hit It, and run" try it sometime, it goes for a lot of fun, i ride al the time on this construction site of a new neighborhood next to mine, and it's built on a hill, so you can start at the top and ride down the unbuilt lots, which have dirt and rocks and small dirt piles which make for a short fun DH course of sorts. It's actually pretty cool, the construction workers and carpenters mostly just watch me and laugh when i fall

I'm talking about when we ride street. When I trail ride I it's always on the proper trails.Heck around here there are more trails to ride than you have time to ride them. I'm glad I dont live near you either,sounds like Gastro would be more fun to ride with than you.

Konarider, I too am having trouble seeing your line, but if it's off that wall, I'd just huck that sucker to flat...then you don't have to worry about building a landing nor getting your speed right to hit it.

I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but there is a CABIN there. I'm pretty confident that riding in someone's yard isn't going to get any trails closed anytime soon. :rolleyes:

I dont exactly know what you expect to do. I dont understand if your going to drop off the wall or gap the stairs. Either way Id get speed and do it to flat.

That actually reminds me of a stunt we ride here sometimes... what we do is ride out on the wall parallel to the stairs, and then drop onto the stairs for a nice transition, though the staircase runout is a fair bit longer and the stairs aren't as steep as pictured there, but it looks like it could be doable like that too.

Well, I wound up hitting it today. Landed a bit short, won't be needing the landing, but need to make something to make the take off smoother. Going to still hit it Thursday if my damn right foot stops hurting and the weather is dry. The foot is due to a seperate incident.
