Wondering if anyone else makes their own built-in beanie (so your hat is always on every time the helmet goes on. Here's how I made it.

3mm clear vinyl (or whatever you have
Piece of wool or polar tech fleece

Fit the vinyl inside the helmet...tape or stitch the wedges and then cut off the extra.
Fit the wool or polar tech over the vinyl in the same way.

I tried this today and my head stayed warmer without a hat...now if only I could figure out how to add a piece to extend over the ears...oh well guess that Balclava needs to protect the rest of my face anyway.

I just ordered the Bell Metro helmet with the full accessory kit from The Discovery Channel Store (http://shopping.discovery.com/product-58460.html).

Discount code "15TOY75" gets you $15 off a $75 or more purchase, and they have all three sizes in stock.

I gotta tell ya...

The BELL METRO is great for WINTER riding!

I love the inserts and ears muffs. The Rain Cover is real handy when it's snowing/raining hard!
I also wear a Pearl Izumi Microsensor Balaclava
