well i found a nice de rosa road bike in blood red w/ yellow decals. the top tube has the years eddy mercx won the championships. bike is in excellent condition w/ record campy. i think it is a "professional"

is 1500 a good price for this bike

87/88 would mean either old Super Record or Record C (Corsa), which one? Does it fit? As an investment it is near the top of the market if in very good shape. Who knows what the future will bring. As a rider, could be fun, got Delta brakes? They would be a plus. Tubulars would also bring a higher price in this case.

thanks for the input #6. the bike is in really good condition, but does not have the delta brakes. the bike does fit and rides nice, but not any nicer than i can tell vs a gurciotti or gios. i always loved the de rosa and after hanging around here, i have caught the vintage bug. he stated he was not flexible, but as you stated kinda high for the model/year. i'm sure if i wait i can prob. find one on ebay. i just didn't want to pass if it was indeed a very good bike. the bike is an SLX. i saw one on here that some guy bought off of a wino/drug addict and really feel in love w/ it

Sounds like a Professional. The most I've seen one sell for in eBay was $1700 recently - Excellent condition and full super record. That is probably the ceiling right now...we hope that they'll appreciate. Guess we need more details...Pictures?

I have bid on it for my wife to be able to match the one in my size that I already own. This one will surely go over the $1700 price that you describe. I might still have a couple more bids left in me.

De Rosa is definitely an elite marque, and that bike will always be a collectible.
