Can anyone provide any insight on these two? In the next week I will be purchasing one of these. Right now I am favoring the Cougar. The suspension was a big plus for me with the cougar....Found it for $278.00+$40(cycling conversion)+$40(strolling conversion)+29.62(taxes)=388.61. So far that is the cheapest I can find it.

But any comments or ideas are welcomed.

I don't have the Cougar, but I do have the Chariot Caddie. I bought it online, and we've had great success with it, and my daughters love it, I would definitely buy it again. Check out Chariot's website for more info. Also, check out www.bicycletrailers.com for product reviews by other consumers. Good luck making your decision! Enjoy whichever you choose!

Here's pic of our set up with the Chariot Caddie. I'm pulling it with a '94 Schwinn Sidewinder MTB, and it does great. I've still got the MTB tires on it, because I like the traction and stability that the wider tires give me, and I don't find that it slows me down that much. I live in a VERY hilly neighborhood, which is where I ride most of the time. Hope this helps....

Thanks DynamicD74 for the words of wisdom. While you were replying I was at REI buying the Cougar 1. I just happened to call them to see how long their sale lasted. It ended at close of business today. So off we went to look at it and let my daughter sit in it and try it out. She loved it. What does concern me is what happens as they get older and they have to keep their legs bent? Are they still comfortable?

My daughters have no complaints. They are 3 1/2 years old and 18 months old, and both are a little on the tall side. Both just seem to like the idea of riding along so much that they really don't mind anything, including sitting very closely with their legs bent and wearing a helmet. Sometimes, we do get into the "she's touching me!" thing, but all in all it's great! BTW: I didn't notice how old your child was or if he or she has ridden anything before that required a helmet, but the way I got my 18 month old used to the helmet was that I put both daughters helmets on inside the house one night, and I let them run around with them on. That seemed to do the trick, because now when my little one sees the bike trailer, she grabs her helmet (if it's lying where she can see it) and runs to the trailer! :D

Congrats on the purchase! I think you'll be very pleased!

Well your post makes me feel much better. My daughter just turned 3 on the 12th of november. Today I put the stroller attachment on it and she jumped in there and off the wife and I went. We loaded it with a water bottle inside for her and her little purse and a tablet for her to write on while we pushed her around. Did not take long for her to fall asleep. It was great, so easy to push. Sure beats the stroller we had been using.
