I have the full 9s Ultegra setup and was wondering if I can use a Dura Ace 9s cassette with it? I'm going from 12-25 to 12-23. Thanks in advance for your response.

Yep, I'm pretty sure all the Shimano 9sp are interchangeable now.

Sure,but why? They just cost more and the Ti cogs wear faster.

They are exchangable.
Main difference is the larger cogsets are titanium on the dura-ace. Ultegtra is more limited in gearing, I presume that is why you want the dura-ace.
12-23:
DuraAce = 160g
Ultegra = 210g

Instead of 12-23, go for the 11-23

Actually unless shimano has made some recent changes,Ultegra gives more options. And why an 11 unless he's riding the tour? He said what he wanted.....No?

Thanks to all the response.

The reason why I ask is because sometimes I come accross a good deal on Ebay or other sources for Dura Ace cassette and just want to make sure I can use them interchangably. Because both my wife and I have full Ultegra setup, this will give us more options.

Eagleye, I mix and match shimano components all the time, sometimes you end up with a better working bike. I run dura-ace tripp;e fron with XTR rear and shift it with DA STI, works great, nice quiet drivetrain. I have another bike I ride ultegra hubs, crankset and front and rear derailures with dur-ace cassette, chain and STI shifters, It also works great, nice quiet drivetrain. I mix and match in the woods also between XTR, XT and LX components, They work well together, I try to spend my money where I need to and save where I can, some parts like the front derailure just don't need to be the best part in the world.
Now to simply answer your question, Yes they will work fine.
One more thing, the gearing options for dura-ace and ultegra are the same.

Ultegra has all the chiices of Da besides some that DA does not have,acording to 2002 Shimano components book.
