Ok, I am sure this has been discussed before, but since I am a newbie, and never tire of beating a dead horse... What are some of your crazy/dumb/a#@hole driver stories.

I was asking because I was in a group that rode across the country this summer, and we saw all kinds of drivers, mostly nice but some were real bad. The worst were Ironicly all in Utah (sorry for people to live there, but truth). Going from Green River to Capital Reef National Park, we had stuff thrown at us, which wouldn't be that bad except for the repetiveness and danger this time. While I and 2 others in our group were waiting for another couple of riders in our group (we had 24 total), back around 1/4 mile changing a tire, a red pickup drove by and a full gallon of water came flying out and skidded along the road by us( luckily it missed), we really didnt think anything of it just some stupid rednecks.... When the guys changing their tire finished and rode up to us they said that they also got a gallon of water thrown at them (one was soaked). Then we remembered seen these guys at a stop about a mile or so back that we were filling our water up , and saw them buying a bunch of bottled water. We were also kind of worried becuase a group of the female riders on our ride were a couple of miles ahead of us. Turns out we came up to them on them later on the road, and almost the same thing happend to them, except they were riding (about 17 or so mph) and the car was comming the other dirrection (50-60mph or so, and the gallon of water missed one of the girls by about 6 inches or so. And if anyone knows any physics, an 8 or so pound weight going 60 mph hitting a rider going 15mph in the head is going to cause some dammage nothwithstanding the fall it would cause. Those guys unfortunately weren't the worst. Going into Cedar City Ut. one of our riders was swiped by a stakebody while he was going about 45 down a hill, crash caused a hospital visit and the driver didn't even stop.

I got cut off by a cadillac once...I was cruising down the road at around 15mph or so when I hear tires screech to my left (he was stopped in traffic in the next lane over). Then I saw this gaudy gold land yacht pull into a drive right in front of me. Luckily I managed to skid down to 5mph and then dumped the bike. The Caddy also stopped and when I got up the a$$hole driver was actually laughing! I wanted to kick his car but refrained. I just had a short conversation with him (using a few choice words)about his driving skills and his bad taste in cars.
:crash:

I haven't had any for a while (strange for the Gold Coast, I know). If you do a search through my posts on this forum, you'll probably find quite a few, however.
