Oh, but that is one purty peice of history.

yeah, the current high bidder is a pretty serious collector. He likes to hang out in the vintage forum over at mtbr.
..Better have pretty deep pockets if you want this one, I'm guessing.

Holy crap! Only reason I read this thread is 'cause I thought I recognized that name. Haven't seen one of those in, well, many moons...to say the least. Of course, I don't cruise eBay for bikes, either. Talk about your old-school, tho....
That bike is definately sweet. Only thing wrong with it (just to me, not actually a bad thing) is that it only has a 1" steerer tube. Fine if you want to make a retro bike or aren't real particular about forks. However for my needs I definately require a 1 1/8".
Still a beautiful frame though.
