There is a Carabela for sale in a nearby town. It sounds like it is my size (~63cm) so I'm interested in it. The description is fairly vauge but here is what I was told. It has Champion #2 butted tubing by Tange. The fork and chain stays are chrome. It has Shimano 600 brakes, Sun Tour Cyclone derailleurs, and a Sekai crankset. The asking price is 200 bucks which seems high to me but I know nothing about Carabelas except that they were made in Mexico. Does this sound like a decent bike? Is 200 bucks way out of line for it?

Thanks for any information.

I paid 250 for one not that long ago. I think it was a little different though as mine has campy component but no chrome on the chainstays or fork I may have been taken advantage of but I really like the bike so for what its worth I say go for it.
