Hi, I come to you directly from the nation's capital, Ottawa...that's the Canadian national capital! I've been an avid cyclist since my early twenties and am now 51, but I'll be 52 on the 14th. I used to cycle more miles on my bike than on my car, but as the years go by, the cycling mileage gets less and less. I've only done 1,687 miles so far this year and it looks like I will not be doing all that much more. Presently I have only one bike, a 1998 aluminum Pecco Eclipse with Shimano 105 components, but hope to purchase a custom bike next year. I am retiring then and want to get myself a Marinoni with Campagnolo Chorus or Shimano Dura Ace components...I haven't quite decided yet.

Welcome Machievelo!

I`m sure when you find plenty of time on your hand (retirement)
there will be lots of cycling routes to progress through, enjoy.

Regards Willi`c

P.S. tell me if you're going to sell your old bike, maybe I'll want to purchase a decent road bike by that time. :)

Welcome Mach!

I wish I was closer to retirement.....More time to do all the crap I want to do. Have fun, and get out on the bike! :)
