This steep. I certainly wouldn't try this out.

Photoshop?
I do not think Photoshop, it could be, but a good chance it is not. The angle the pic is taken from makes it look vertical but I would guess it is not. We have a hill like that, althouh not as long, that is near vert and guys ride down it all the time.

Hehe, awesome. I'd love to ride down that... well, not really, but it looks fun. ;)

Photoshop for sure (unless that's mtnbiker66 and his crew, they could do it).

the dust trails look a little funny, the shadows look good. i should shut up, i am no photo expert.
although the hill definitely looks to be set-up nicely at the base to ease their descent and what is basically a free fall. they would be going pretty fast at the base.
That is easily done, if there is a nice rollout at the bottom. I would hit that if there was a good roller at the bottom. I would even hit it on my XC bike. Screw those long travel dual boinger bikes, they just make everything too easy.

i call camera angle. i'm guessing if it was really almost vertical it'd be easier just to drop it rather than roll down like that.

No the trees at the top look upright. The angle on the shadows from an adjacent cliff and the riders seem consistent. This is certainly rideable by downhillers used to do this stuff so long as there is a roll out on the bottom.
if that is real that is one of the steepest things i have ever seen.
the shadow on the third on down from the top looks a little funky.
very well might be real though.

I would crap my pants if I went down that, if it is even real.

I dont know, the top guy looks basically doomed. There seems to be a large crater type thing in the side of the hill. At first I thought it was just the shadow of the middle guy, but then I realized his shadow starts way to the left of the hole. Maybe its just me but that looks like a huge hole in the hill. Mybe it is a huge hole and that guy is going to huck over it at lightning fast speed? Just doesnt seem...smart. Also the traisl of dust suggest that all the riders were in contact with the hill on the way down, the whole time. And to me it seems like they would of gotten air because it lokos like there is a ridge that runs right through the center of it horizontally.

If it is real, the camera appears to be cocked slightly, judging by the way the trees are at the top. Also, the dust coming off of the wheels is a slightly different color than the rock/cliff, which makes it look fake. But, the shadows would be hard to get right, so who knows. I feel like the riders would have endoed going over the little bump in the bottom third of the picture.
The fact that they're rolling (as evidenced by the dust kicked up), and not tumbling down, should tell you that it's not as steep as it looks. If that side had been virtually vertical, they'd be free falling, and if they touched with their back wheels then, they'd most likely spin forward, and land on their heads...
Also, if you look where the dust indicates they've actually dropped (where the side goes back in slightly), we can assume those dust trails to be less than vertical (they do have forward/horizontal speed as well), then their angle will tell us the maximum vertical orientation. In this case, we see that the image is rotated slightly to the left, and that's what's causing the side to look steeper than it is. And the near-vertical dust trails line up pretty well with the trees at the top, too...
My guess is the side has about a 7/1 gradient or so...
Edit: And I think the image is rotated around 20-30 degrees.

it looks kinda fake by the dirt kicking up with no apparent friction, especially coming right off the top. And shouldn't you let one guy clear the trail first so if he wipes out, the next guy doesn't crash into him?

I put the photo into Excell, then I rotated it until the trees were pretty darn close to growing straight up. Then I put it into Paint and cut out a square picture so that the edges of old picture wouldent fool your eyes too believe that the picture was turned. Check it out.

tricky tricky, i like that though, it sill looks like a hell of a lot of fun
I'm sort of believing that it is trick photography, but i'm not sure. I found it off the Marzocchi site by the way.
Why the hell does everyone call photoshop!!!!! It is real, believe it or not but people ride stuff like that:o In Adelaide we have a thing called Ando's bowl, aka SS for Sheer Face or **** Steep. It is about 2 stories high, so what????? 5-6 m drop in elevation in less than 60cm of distance, We ride it all the time, there are multiple lines on it, the rocky one, the flat one and then there are the drops.
Just because you think it looks too hard for you or, they are rolling it so it can't be that steep, think twice. There are people who can do tht stuff quite easily and it is harder to roll things sometimes rather than dropping, this makes it fun.

In that case it would be fun to ride down now.
It looks like the huge weird colored rock that the top 3 riders are on was put on there somehow.

There's a section of one of the trails around here that's really steep, but it's not quite as long as that. It has a long runout, too, and leads to a dirt jump.
I haven't ridden it yet :P
Here is a clip of what it is like in action.
