A good friend that used to be a casual rider got the bug bad after riding with me and my son for a while. So he goes out this week and picks up a new Stumpjumper and sends me this pic. I think this is a huge problem. Since I'm the one that got him hooked on riding he should show some love and let me get the first ride on that puppy.I won't name names(hambone40)but that is just wrong!

Lol, that is a pretty bike. Yeah i had a friend that got me hooked on cycling and i went out and bought a stumpjumer too. His bike was still nicer though and he can still out ride me.

Nah, you should just get an Ellsworth, and not let him ride yours either.

:D

This happens to me all the time! I had been riding my old GF hardtail for several years. I talk my wife into giving mountain biking a try so we go out and get her a Cannondale F400 that has way better components (particularly the forks) than mine. So a year later I breakdown and go get my new NRS. Finally I have the better bike. Well a friend of ours who decided she only wants to ride SS sells my wife her Epic for like $500. I still like my NRS better but damn! Plus she is right on my tail all the time now. I knew I should have gotten the Elisworth. :)

fork, yes, brakes, no. the brakes arent that good. look like just some avid bb7s. i mean, they are good, i ride them an all, but still.....

the color is awesome. hey mtnbiker66, all of the people i ride with except for my friend ride full suspension bikes. and we have some very nice bikes there. most are santa cruz, except for one ellsworth joker that would be my choice bike out of them all. fox rp3 shock and maverick duc32 fork. its sick. you just have to out ride him. i still beat most everyone down the hills, and everyone but my friend on the other hardtail up the hills.

just practice more. make it so that when you come across a log that is too big to ride over, you can bunnyhop it without slowing down, but he has to stop and get off. that will make him feel like a loser.

Outbiked? My wife wants to move up to a Blur XC or even a Titus Racer X from her 2000 Norco hardtail. I would be seriously outmatched if it weren't for my mad skillz...

When I saw the title I thought someone met a better rider and got smoked. Then I noticed it was 66 and realize that would not be a hard task. :D :p

So did getting this nice new rig make your friend any better then you? Probably not so you should go get your self a Motive and smoke his a$$. ;) That will make him feel good.

I was one of those guys, but I lived up to the nice bike I got. The joke is on me though, because I want to ride all the time, and the ones who started me never want to.

The Avid BB7's are the best cable disc brake on the market and are well suited to what the vast majority do on a regular basis.

Watch the tude or I will be forced to have Mtbiker66's thug son give you the thrashing that you deserve. Be thankful that you even have a bike at age 15. No more lip from you.

You can rag on hambone,he's a school principal. :D Now that I think of it he's always getting my son out of school to go riding,he's not a very good principal.
