So it started raining after I got my ride in yesterday and was still raining when I woke up this morning. After a shot of coffee and some breakfast in me I set out for the most miserable ride so far this year in San Francisco. I put in a solid 30 minutes and it was made easier with snowboard goggles. Also some dumb broad without her lights was driving too fast for the conditions and almost hit me. Big Doh! Overall it was liveable and a double layer snow jacket allowed me to bike with a tshirt underneath and some sweat pants. Just glad to get the exercise today, and without any accidents

Seal Rock, Alcatraz on steroids, ala Silicon Valley chip on shoulder city.....
Here's an alternative frisco.

Rain is rain. rain in SF is nice because it's warm. All you need is waterproofing, breathability and good visibililty. You all need to get out into the real world and seasonal weather more.

Couldn't agree more. Not that a cold rain (< 45F) is enjoyable but its really not that bad. I'm not even sure waterproofing is necessary. Whats so wrong with being wet?

Well, I commuted to school and put in an extra hour of exercise yesterday, both times amazingly missing the rain by just a couple of minutes! That was a great day for sure. Today the rain here in San Francisco is coming down big time and I'm not feeling like getting on the bike. The rain's only part of my concern: the real problem is car drivers driving recklessly, at least half of them without headlights on. The drivers around here just make it too dangerous to head out on a day when solid sheets of rain are coming down.
And where is it warm rain? Here in the Forrest Hills district it's well below 45 degrees F.
