Training & Nutrition - Run or Bike today?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Trying to decide, run 5 or bike 12-15?
Temp: 18F, wind 5mph, time 4:30p, half the route covered in 1" snow, half clear with spots of ice.

I vote "run". The windchill at 15F with a 20 MPH wind is -2. Seems pretty cold to me. (Of course I do live in SoCal where anything below 50F is considered frigid. Prior to that though, I was from MI...I was just smart enough to move away :)

I'd say run. For me, it's harder to run in the cold than bike in the cold. Need the practice!
OK run it is. Running in the cold is so slow for me. I'm slow enough in normal weather but in the cold I go 11 minute miles. :D
