The two Axle Adjustment Bolts on my rear dropouts are bent. One is bent about 5 degrees and the other about 30 degrees. My inclination is to use a small visegrip and gently straighten the screws so that they can be removed. Other than this direct method does anyone have any advice or suggestions in straightening these screws (bolts)? Thanks.

If it's bent too much for you to unscrew it, I'd use a needle-nosed pliers to bend it back. If possible, have it screwed in up to the point of the bend when you do this. But then, you can't screw it one way or another right now, eh? The 5-degree one, you should be able to get out and then work on it.

Hi Timcupery, I can screw both bolts in and out. But they have to be removed forward through the dropout and through the bend as the forward end has a soldered-on spring retainer. The aft end, with the bend, has a cap nut on it which can be removed. I'll try needle-nosed pliers as you suggest. Thanks.
