I was looking at this wheelset on Ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7200592504&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

anyone ever heard of Malliard Hubs? I did some searching and people said it was the standard back in the days. How's the rims on it as well?
Is this a decent wheelset and how would it compare to the Nashbar Discount Wheelset?
Pros and Cons (yea... its tubular...)
If I get to green light from you guys I'll def. go for them as they're located in Canada! (is anything good on Ebay ever located in Canada nowadays!?)

btw, this IS a fixed hub isn't it? and How do you thikn the rims will hold up?

That's weird.
It says it's a rear track hub, but then says it used to have a 6-speed freewheel on it.
But it makes no mention of a flip-flop.

^ you can thread a freewheel onto a track hub.
but this likely means that it's been respaced to 126mm and dished. So at minimum, you'll have to re-space and redish it.

it'll depend on the price it goes for, and your willingness to deal with tubs.

don't know why he says the front is sapced at 110mm.. it should be 100.

I thought the threading was different.
My mistake.
Nevermind.

I guess you could... theoretically... put a freewheel cassette on a track hub ... I mean, if you can put a bmx freewheel on a track hub, it's the same amount of space, right? Why you would want to do buy a track wheelset for use with a freewheel is a little confusing, but it seems possible (albeit bizarre).
Seem wise to perhaps confirm that it's a real track hub with reverse-threaded lockring area before bidding. Used wheels are always a crapshoot, but if it's $20, maybe it's worth it...

also those are tubular rims not clinchers. Tubies are more fuss, and the tires are more expensive. not worth the trouble in my opinion
