Preventing pollution is a fine idea which I heartily endorse...But doesn't the production of pollution require one to have gasoline?

Coal and wood do just fine. Not sure how much traffic they have in N Korea.

Or coal and wood, for that matter.

Are most CM rides led by tyrannical dictators?

I think the exalted leader is exercising 'one-upmanship' over the recent bicycling vacation taken by an imperialist war criminal.
Bicycle transportation? These terrorist threats must be stopped!

Considering that there is virtually no private automobile ownership in North Korea, the CM motto, "We are traffic" would be very much true.

That's all we need. Now they will really think bicyclists are crazy.
Or is he planning for nuclear powered bicycles?

I think the NY CM people should try to do a CM ride in North Korea. Then they'll learn how real totalitarian governments handle demonstrations. Compared to the North Korean police, the NYPD cops are as fearsom as an elderly librarian saying "shhhhhh."
