O M G... I just got finished watching Booty Call again. It is such a stupid movie that it's funny. I'm just rolling on the floor laughing. Jamie Foxx is an idiot. But I'll watch it again!

Honorable mentions to The Waterboy with Adam Sandler. I loved Kathy Bates in that movie talking about "foozeball" and those gator meals she made. She was goofy stupid. I'll watch that movie every time it comes on television.

Who else has those stupid movie guilty pleasures? 'Fess up!

"You can do it!!!!" Hah.

For me it's always the classics: Fletch, Stripes, Caddyshack. (Hey, those actually star ex-SNL cast members and they don't suck!)

Bunch of my favorite movies came out in the same year.
Never could figure it out if the reason was me or the movies....
The Muppet Movie (never seen a frog that green get the blues that bad)
The Blues Brothers (Elwood:It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it. )
Apocalyse Now (You smell that? Do you smell that?... Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

"You can do it aaaaallll night long!" *swivels hips*

God, I laughed so hard the first time I saw that movie I could not get off the floor. I could not even sleep that night. I was too busy laughing and giggling. Kathy Bates should have won an Academy Award for best actress in a comedy. Seriously. When she got on that fan boat to get Bobby to the game on time, I just bust a gut. And her dancing around in the field behind the reporter with that crazy grin was just stupid funny.

I didn't care for Fletch, but I loved Stripes- the first half more than the second half, by far. I sent it to a friend in Switzerland for Christmas last year. He loved Stripes too, and I thought it was about time he had something funny to watch during those long cold winters when he's stuck indoors. ;)

I have never seen Caddyshack. Should I rent it?

Apocalypse Now is a “stupid” movie??? – when I read that I had to check to be sure that I was still in the “stupid movies” thread. It’s a great movie that will continue to stand the test of time.

Yeah, it's a great movie, as are the other two I mentioned. At least as far as I
am concerned. But it was also stupid. I can't really recreate the zeitgeist when it came out, but they did make a movie about the making of the movie. That will
tell you most of what I'm getting at.

Steve Martin's 'The Jerk'.Can't even quote the funny bits they are so stupid, that taken out of context they would offend everyone!

Anyone seen 'Meet The Feebles?' by Peter Jackson?

Gene Wilder in Mel Brooks' 'Young Frankenstien'
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor in just about anything, but 'Bustin' Loose' seems to take the cake!
Long live Wilder and Pryor. Friggen comic genius.... :roflmao:

My wife's cousin is 14 and a couple of years ago I turned him onto Mel Brooks: Blazing Saddles ("Scuze me while I whip this out!"); Young Frankenstein ("That's Frahnkensteen!"); History of the World Part 1 ("It's good to be the King!"). Just right for the mentality of a teenager.

His mom was ready to kill me. Hee hee. Good stuff.

It's time to break out your best Monty Python rememberances!!!

Who can forget 'The Holy Grail'? (forget it? I know it line by line!)

"What is your favorite color?"
"Blue...no! Red! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" :roflmao:

Ooh, I do love Young Frankenstein and Bustin' Loose, too!

Meet the Fockers was pretty good, too.......not really stupid, but silly. Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand were excellent.

Sir Robin: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!
Tim: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
Sir Galahad: Get stuffed!
Tim: He'll do you up a treat, mate.
Sir Galahad: Oh, yeah?
Sir Robin: You mangy Scots git!
Tim: I'm warning you!
Sir Robin: What's he do? Nibble your bum?
Tim: He's got huge, sharp... er... He can leap about. Look at the bones!

Gee, so many funny movies, so little time. To respond to Koffee's original comment 'It is such a stupid movie it is funny' we like Mystery Science Theater 3000, spoofs or really bad science fiction movies. It's hard to pick a faborite, any episode will do.
From the theater movies:
1. Young Frankenstein (Gene Hackman the blind monk lives in a small house with several candles. If he's blind why the candles?)
2. The Dream Team (Gene Boyle in the Holland Tunnel, 'I will hold back the water.")
3. Spaceballs (Rick Moranis quickly covering up a set of dolls of the spaceballs charachters: 'Did you see anything?' George Wyner 'No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again.')
4. Monty Python's The Holy Grail ('Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?')
5.Weekend at Bernie's (Ya gotta laugh at 2 guys water skiing with a corpse being pulled by the tow boat.)
Yea, I could keep on going. But I'll leave with this, how many times have you seen a horse and wanted to yell out 'Blucher'.

I think there good movies, but other people I know they're stupid:

Red Dawn
1941
The Ghost And The Darkness
Escanaba In Da Moonlight
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Another movie I love is called Dillinger. Its popular among those who have seen it, it's just widely unknown.

On the other hand, if you were to ask me about popular movies I hate, I would have to say the Resident Evil movies are some of the worst, most cornball adult action films known to me.

Robert Townsend's 'Hollywood Shuffle' is way better than CB4, or BAPS, i.e. spoofs of blacksploitation films.

O.K., enough following the thread, back to Monty Python references!

Peasant No. 1 :"How do you know she's a witch?" Peasant No.2:" Cuz,she turned me into a newt!" P.1: "But..you don't look like a newt..."P.2: "Well, I got better!"

I didn't find Hollywood Shuffle a stupid movie, though. I thought it was a statement about blacksploitation. I actually think it's a great movie. Still funny after all these years.
