Touring - my cool bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i recently put together a pretty cool bike, in my humble opinion, i used a supergo access mail-order mtn. bike frame(surely you've seen their ads) a good deal at $200, i think, then used an odd assortment of new and used parts including an old pair of specialized "dirt-drops" handlebars, a brooks leather saddle( a lucky find at a great price), suntour xcd 6000 rear derailler and suntour bar-end shifters(must keep them in friction mode) and sugino cranks in the good old standard bolt pattern(that's getting hard to find). i haven't done a loaded tour with her yet but i'm sure she'd do well, this is the bike to travel through mongolia with!

god, was i high when i wrote that, who the hell applies gender when refering to their bike, and the quote, " this is the bike to take to mongolia" or something stupid like that is offensive to all, i cringe when i see what a dork i am, but hey, it's still a cool bike, piss off

Mr. Funball,
It's OK. I know I tend to get, um, overly enthusiastic when I have gotten my girl, I mean, my bike, a new present. It can be quite intoxicating, but in a good way.
Regards,
Rainman
