No, I'm not talking size.

I am just inquiring as to whether there is any restriction on the content of the avatar or any other posted pic for that matter?

I am not a stick in the mud but i find pictures like the one attached offensive. A user currently has this avatar. If there was an avatar of someone performing a sexual act I am 100 % there would be action taken.

And sex can even be moral. But how do you consider one man beating another man to death to be acceptable? I think our culture is screwy.

ehh, to be super picky I would not do it. Personally I don't mind. I really don't know though.

Even if it's not restricted, I would not that to be how people recognize me or think of me.

Did you mean to say "I would not want that to be how people..." ?

Yes ---> what I meant, not what I typed. Sorry. Thanks for the clarification. My brain is faster than my fingers. Thanks for catching that and pointing it out.

How do you know he is beating him to death?

All that avatar is a man punching another man, then repeatedly looped over and over again in an animation.

Just like the santa in your avatar. The santa isn't walking away, it's just an animation of a santa walking.

There is nothing which shows one man is beating another to death. It's just one punch, looped over again..

Which gives the impression he is being beaten to death... I agree with poster, something viloent like that shouldn't be used as an avatar.

This is a pretty weak argument, but i guess i will address it. Firstly, he doesn't have to be beaten to death for the avatar to be offensive. Secondly, your argument that it is just an avatar being looped over and over again is silly.

That is like arguing that it would be ok to have an exposed female breast as an avatar. You could argue that the breast in the avatar was just getting ready to be used as a nursing device.

I think it is offensive. I don't think it's funny. It's not about biking, it's hopefully not a clue to the poster's identity, and I don't think it should be used. If that was a woman that was getting slugged, we would not even be having this discussion, right???? I don't think it's any different because the person getting punched is a male.
