hi, im on 6ft and weight 12.5 stone
i was wondering what my estimated frame size would be......im guessing about 56-58, but i can be certain
one if my friends who is around half a foot shorter than me rides a 56.......could someone help me out
cheers
Well bike sizes are not like shoe sizes. The frame size will get you close; but, each brand can be different and label their bike a 56 cm.
You will probably end up getting between a 56 and 58. Your bike shop will helpf fit you to the brands they carry.
good luck.

Assuming that you have safe crotch clearance (1-2cm), then the size of the bike determines the height of the bars. If you want low bars, pick a smaller size, if you like your bars higher, pick a larger size.
The most important factor is top tube length, which (combined with stem) gives the reach.
Remember that the height of the bottom bracket off the ground may vary between frame designs and "size" is measured from the BB, not the ground.
The ratio of top-tube length to frame-size may vary between manufacturers, so shop around for a design you like.
The micro style frame (Giant TCR) uses a lowered top tube, so frame sizes are smaller, but the TT remians the same. These are designed more much more crotch clearance than a standard frame.

have always been told that you must have at least an inch between you and the top tube when standing on the ground. Don't wanna jump off the seat and hurt yourself!
