What will your tank hold? Beer?

This tank is only for looks. One large enough to hold Ice and beer would be a something to think on!

Looks good! I liked the way you used the character line from the door to give the tank an interesting shape.
An old hood with a contour like that ought to work well too, by cutting out from each side (like butterflying a cutlet, or booking the grain in a veneered wood project).
Nice work!

Plans for a 1/5 scale wooden Sherman:

Electric motor drive, but at least the construction plans could be adapted with the above pedal tank.

Years ago in P/M mag a guy built a tank from an old VW and tread cut out of old tractor tires.

Is there a post with more instruction on your "retrodirect" conversion? That is very ingenious. I think I understand what is going on there but would like some clarity on how you attached the sprocket to the orig. single speed hub.

Neat-oh

The inboard freewheel is screwed onto the hub normally, a bottom-bracket cup (that happens to have the same size thread) is screwed onto the freewheel's leftover threads, and the second freewheel is screwed onto the BB cup.

You can find more info here --> http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/retro-direct/

Likewise you can look at the thread that started a lot of it here:

and I have some pictures of the parts that went into my retro-direct hub here:
