This is about riding on ice and snow.

If you are not experienced at this, you might like it.

Interesting information. Thanks for posting. It snowed about an inch yesterday in NY and this morning on a 10 miler I was very fearful of small patches of ice that hadn't melted. Luckily I didn't have any mishaps.

If you have the time or the interest there is a lot of good information on the ICEBIKE site.

There is good info there. However i have found a few things suspect. Mainly i am referring to some of their product reviews. Some lady reviewed the Nashbar studded tires. She gave them a good review. Interstingly, i just found a set of nashbar studded tires on ebay that linked to that article and said that she was the author of said article.

She stated that she doesn't ride in the winter much anymore and that these tires were hardly used. So how could she give them an honest review?

That is strange.

I read those reviews a couple of years ago, I think they did not give much more than a ride down the block for a "test run".

I'm not a new winter rider, but this was good review. For example, the reminder not to use front brake on ice, since I use my front almost exclusively on normal pavement. I also loved the last sentence, since it sounded like something I would do. :o
