BMX - Double Bolt Seat Clamp?

Double Bolt Seat Clamp for 25.4mm seat tube

Man. I know I've seen these things before, but I cannot for the life of me find the manufacturer or know who out there sells these. Anybody have any idea? I really want one of these suckers, preferrably with no lip thing on it.

They're pretty uneccessary, but Primo used to do them.

I had a Primo Viking, back in my Warpig days. It didn't work half as good as the single-bolt Fit clamp that I have now, which weighs half as much and doesn't look bulky.

I used to have the viking.. It's on my friends bike because he was building on a budget. It really doesent make sense.. the one bolt holds the seat post in the seat tube.. and the other just holds the seatpost.. why? if it's secure in the seat tube then where's it going?

It would seem smart to me to have a quich release. These kids that run their seat low for jumping would easily be able to raise them to ride to their trails comfortably. Unless they are cutting there seatpost short for weight savings.

Yes, just what we need. A quick release. So that when you're doing a toboggan you run the risk of having your seat come off with your hand.

Have you ever used a quick release post clamp? If you seat comes off, then you don't know how to tighten it properly.

There are single bolt clamps now.
Prettymuch any one of the clamps out now will do good, but i personally like the Premium single bolt clamp because it has a steel thread insert so that you dont have aluminium threads to strip....yeah...

The true weight weenie wouldn't have a clamp. They make frames with an integrated clamp. Whack in a titanium bolt and you're set.

Actually there's only one seat post clamp, it's the SandM suntour knock off.

yeah. the primo viking clamp. i have one. it kind of sucks though.
i also have a triple bolt clamp... i think DK made them... it sucks too.

noone needs a new seatclamp. it doesn't matter if its a fit clamp, or a huffy clamp. they are all the same! who gives a crap! i sure don't.

Not just any integrated clamp will do, you have to have one like on the new Eastern(Reaper?) frame, where the clamp is intergrated on the seattube underneath the top welds(of the TT and seatstay). Then you have to throw on the Ti bolt.

Considering the fact that that wouldn't be any lighter, because you wouldn't be able to cut your tube as short... no. Not to mention the fact that that frame is a deathtrap.

That would make him a good rider. Doesn't mean the bike is good.

Aside from the fact that it can't possibly be all that strong with so much metal chopped off of it, I'd love to know how they're going to deal with the issue of rust.

I think that I read somewhere that they have plastic caps to fit in all the holes. That still is prety dumb, 5 pound frame is way light enough(LAF!).

you might as well get a race frame, it would probly be stronger then that frame which is cut like swiss cheese...
