So everyone says that PVC rollers will warp if exposed to sunlight, and my question is why? Think about PVC pipes that you get at your local hardware store, they are not warped and you know they have been exposed to light... So is it more a temperature affect? Does the sunlight heat up one side of the roller and due to thermal expansion it warps? Or does anyone know?

No one? wow, I thought with all the "knowledge" on this forum someone would have at less put so bs down...
I would think that is has more to do with PVC breaking down and causing warpage due to exposure to UV light rather that exposure to heat.

Though glass's cut-off is about 330nm, which is barely in the UV range (violet ~350nm), hence why you do not get sunburn while driving or sitting inside your house. But I am glad to see that at less someone had a thought to my question.
